We have farmed on land in the Rock Ridge community of Wilson County since the 1920’s and keep spreading our roots here. We are proud of our family’s multigenerational farming legacy, plus our local heritage and state’s reputation for being a leader in produce.

Not only is Eastern North Carolina the heart of vegetable production for our state, North Carolina is the nation’s #1 producer of sweet potatoes. According to the North Carolina Sweet Potato Commission, North Carolina produces more than half of the nation’s sweet potato supply. Therefore, we are equally proud to be in the United States’ #1 sweet potato-producing state.

Four generations of Boyettes have operated Rock Ridge Farms, which continues to grow sweet potatoes, peanuts, corn, soybeans and other crops on more than 7,000 acres. See how our farm has grown over the years.

While the farm harvests a variety of crops, it lacked a packing house for sweet potatoes. We decided to launch Boyette Brothers Produce to create a hub for packing and distribution of sweet potatoes. In December of 2012, Rock Ridge Farms created Boyette Brothers Produce. Learn more about the packing facilities that service our customers’ growing needs.
